16 Evolution Bonanza

Even though it has only been a few minutes since I've started grinding, it felt like forever for the skill to reach its max level.

Well, let's not delay this any further.

'Evolve [Wind Splinter]'

Ding!

Just like before, I have two options to choose from. I hope they have some sort of special effect since new skills need new effects for them to be created.

~~~~~~~~
Choose the skill that [Wind Splinter] will evolve into.
[Wind Shot]
[Dual Wind Burst]
~~~~~~~~

Well, let's check and see. I'm pretty sure I might be disappointed with the skills even though it's been a long time since I've seen 'em.

'Identify [Wind Shot]'

Ding!

~~~~~~~~
[Wind Shot] (C-grade Mortal)
[Level]: 1/5
[Experience]: 0/10
The evolved form of the Wind Splinter skill. With its shell and power being more condensed, it is able to travel longer distances while having a higher amount of damage.
The [Wind Affinity] stat increases the skill's damage and speed.
Cost: 4 SP
Cooldown: 3 seconds
~~~~~~~~

So if it was even longer than this and didn't read it at all, to sum it up, it's the stronger and faster form of [Wind Splinter]. I appreciate the higher firepower, but sadly that won't allow me to craft a new skill I think.

Let's move on to the next one, I hope this one doesn't disappoint me.

'Identify [Dual Wind Burst]'

Ding!

~~~~~~~~
[Dual Wind Burst] (C-grade Mortal)
[Level]: 1/5
[Experience]: 0/10
The evolved form of the [Wind Splinter] skill. In exchange for stronger firepower and faster speed, the bullet splits into two, allowing the stick to damage twice as much enemies in the same amount of time.
Cost: 4 SP
Cooldown: 3 seconds
~~~~~~~~

Oh? This kinda makes me want to raise my non-existent eyebrows in glee. This skill has something that I want, a special effect. Well you can't really categorize it as a special effect but it's something new nonetheless.

Of course, since I'm now going to aim for more skills, you know what I'll pick. Don't worry, I haven't lost my mind, I'm still clear as to what my goal is. But you know, wouldn't it be fun to have a lot of God-level skills to shoot out?

Click.

~~~~~~~~
[Dual Wind Burst] has been chosen.
[Wind Splinter] has been evolved to [Dual Wind Burst].
~~~~~~~~

Ah, there we go. My first offensive skill is now a tad bit stronger than what I started out with. Of course I'm not content with this current form, nor am I content with my other skills. At the least, I'll level them up to Transcende—

Ding!

Eh?

~~~~~~~~
[SP Storage] has been upgraded to Level 3.
[SP Storage] has reached the MAX level.
[SP Storage] can evolve.
~~~~~~~~

EHHHH?!?!

No wait, it's quite expected though. I've used [Wind Splinter] a lot of times and each usage increases the skill's XP by 1. But to think that [SP Storage] also evolved at the same time as [Wind Splinter]...

Oh well. Let's see my options.

'Evolve [SP Storage]'

Ding!

~~~~~~~~
Choose the skill that [SP Storage] will evolve into.
[Expanded SP Storage]
[Efficient SP Storage]
~~~~~~~~

From the names alone, I'm sure that their effects are self-explanatory. It's just a matter of what I choose really. Anyways, let's just identify each of them because it's my habit.

'Identify [Expanded SP Storage]'

Ding!

~~~~~~~~
[Expanded SP Storage] (C-grade Mortal)
[Level]: 1/5
[Experience]: 0/10
Your SP storage has become bigger, allowing you to hold more SP.
Current capacity: 30 SP
~~~~~~~~

Its description is also self-explanatory, cool. Well what was I expecting? It's not like the system is going to make it sound cool. Well the system does make equipment flairs sound cool, but I'm not at that level yet so why bother. Let's move on.

'Identify [Efficient SP Storage]'

Ding!

~~~~~~~~
[Efficient SP Storage] (C-grade Mortal)
[Level]: 1/5
[Experience]: 0/10
Instead of becoming bigger, your body has found a way to condense SP into a purer form, maintaining the same amount of SP capacity while allowing you to cast twice as much skills than before. All skills that use SP have their costs halved once this skill is chosen.
Current capacity: 15 SP
~~~~~~~~

Okay, this one went into more detail as to what effects it had once used. Oh? The SP cost for every skill would be halved? Then that means 1 SP for [Wind Infusion] would last 6 seconds?

That sounds like a good deal to be honest. But if you think about it, they offer the same effects, but it's just a matter of quantity versus quality.

Do I want a lot of probably basic SP to use for skills, or condensed SP that would offer the same effects but might have some specialties once evolved to a certain point?

You know what? I'll just close my eyes and waved my non-existent finger around and hope it lands on one.

Eenie...

Meenie...

Miney...

Click.

Ding!

Hm. I guess I got lucky since I clicked a button on the first try. Now what did I pick?

~~~~~~~~
[Efficient SP Storage] has been chosen.
[SP Storage] has been evolved to [Efficient SP Storage].
~~~~~~~~

Welp, can't turn back now. If that's what I chose then so be it. Now that I think about it, it's been a while since I've checked my skills. How are they looking right now?

'Skills.'

Ding!

Wait. If I remember correctly, I know you could enable the option of knowing what level a skill is at. Well, there's a purpose for this...probably.

'Enable the option of knowing what level my skills are at when I check the skill screen.'

Ding!

~~~~~~~~
Option enabled.
~~~~~~~~

Okay, with that taken care of, let us admire the skills I currently have.

~~~~~~~~
Active Skills:
[Steam Roll Lv. 2]
[Dual Wind Burst Lv. 1]
[Wind Infusion Lv. 2]
[Soaring Tempest Pierce Lv. 1]
Passive Skills:
[Soul Perception I Lv. 1]
[Efficient SP Storage Lv. 1]
~~~~~~~~

When will I ever see the day where I have all of my skills at max level? Will it be at a time when I'm back at Godhood level?

Haah... there's no point mulling over it right now. I should focus on evolving.

'[Steam Roll]'

Whoosh!

...

In an unknown room, a large crystal could be seen hovering in the center. Every once in a while, a few particles of light would circle around the crystal before disappearing.

Beside this crystal was a man in his 30s who had a few white hairs on his head thanks to the pressure he was feeling constantly for a few weeks already. He wore large glasses which didn't hinder his eyes filled with wisdom as he peered into the crystal.

Within this crystal, a somewhat large stick with green splotches could be seen rolling on the ground at a fast pace. Even though that was the case, the stick rolled around the vicinity of the area it was currently in.

The man retracted his gaze before smiling widely. Without hesitation, he grabbed a white crystal from his pocket and imbued a special energy into it, forming a connection with the person on the other side.

'I'm glad I learned this Magic Communication skill. It's quite helpful,' the man smirked at the thought before composing himself.

"What's wrong Zak?" A person could be heard on the other side speaking to the man with glasses. The person on the other side exuded an aura of majesty and grace, which could be the only person Zak knew from royalty, Prince Vanadir.

Zak, the man with glasses, shook his head while smiling. "There's nothing Your Highness. Instead we bring good news."

"We have found the Wind Branch!"
