[Sapling] has received 14 HP damage.
[Sapling] has received 14 HP damage.
[Wind Splinter] has been upgraded to Level 2.
Alright. [Wind Splinter] is finally Level 2, just like [Wind Infusion]. Sooner or later, [Wind Infusion] is going to reach the max level and I can evolve it into a better skill.
That's also the case for [Wind Splinter] though I have to fire a few more shots to do so.
Hmm...I think I should focus on [Wind Splinter] for now even though I said to focus on [Wind Splinter] and [Wind Infusion] together just a few minutes ago. [Wind Infusion] is a supportive skill while [Wind Splinter] is an offensive skill. Of course, even an idiot would know what skill to focus on right?
Then again...I'm not hating on those players that used to only have supportive skills as their active skills. They're extremely useful in combat as an ally.
So back to the main topic. I'll focus on [Wind Infusion] for now.
'Show SP bar'
I can shoot 3 more [Wind Splinters] before needing to recharge using [Stick Siphoning].
Well what are we waiting for? Let's just use 'em altogether!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
[Sapling] has received 20 HP damage.
[Sapling] has received 22 HP damage. 2 combo!
[Sapling] has received 24 HP damage. 3 combo!
[Sapling] has been slain.
Experience + 15.
With that sapling being killed, I'm now at...
[Aurus] has leveled up to Level 3!
Level 3. I'm only two levels away from reaching the max level and evolving one more time. If I think about it, with the almost unique skill I've created, I might unlock another special evolution for B-grade Inanimate.
Wait... I'm missing the point here.
Combo? That didn't appear in the game back then. Or did it?
Hmm...oh, it did. Combos existed at the Animate stage of the game. As to why it only existed at the Animate stage, that's something for later.
But still, to think that I made a combo this early on... doesn't [Wind Splinter] have a cooldown time of 5 seconds between each attack?
'Identify [Wind Splinter]'
Hmm...mhm. Mhm. Yep, I was correct. It does have a cooldown time of 5 seconds, but is now reduced to 4 seconds thanks to it leveling up.
How did I do it?
'Can I check what I did earlier?'
Yes, you can.
Oh. I didn't expect that the system could do it, but I'm glad it did.
'Let me see what I did earlier.'
Memory imprinting process ongoing...
Memory imprinting complete.
Just like that, I felt like my consciousness was transported into another world out of my own volition.
Well it wasn't really another world, it was just the world a few minutes earlier while I was in the process of killing the sapling.
'[Wind Splinter]! [Wind Splinter]! [Wind Splinter]!'
Oh? I could hear a voice, and it's eerily similar to my own voice. Oh wait, it is my voice. The one killing the sapling is me.
Okay let me see, what was I unconsciously doing which allowed me to do a combo?
At that second, I peered into the insides of my body a few minutes earlier, checking what happened within each and every cell in my body.
The main area of focus was where the [SP Storage] was, since that was where my skills gain their power. It's kinda weird looking at it though, since the only thing within that space were just green particles of light. Does it have something to do with how I'm a Wind Branch?
Oh! It's happening! The triple [Wind Splinter] combo!
...eh? I can actually do that?!
Well, let me explain it to you guys since you have no clue as to what happened.
So what happened before I shot those [Wind Splinters] was that, they were already formed.
A few [Wind Splinters] could be seen near the edge of the space, eager to be shot out of my stick body. Now the question is...
When did I form those [Wind Splinters]?
I'm sure as hell that I didn't order my body to do that since I didn't even have a smidge of idea on this situation.
And with that, I exited the world of the past and came back to the present.
'System, how the fuck did I form [Wind Splinters] in my body?'
[Stick Siphoning]? What do you mean by—oh.
OH! NOW I GET IT!
[Stick Siphoning] is a passive skill wherein my body regenerates HP and SP as time passes. Most of the time, I can't see it its effects since my HP and SP bar is full most of the time. I guess the [Stick Siphoning] skill creates a few [Wind Splinters] so that the regenerated SP doesn't go to waste.
Well, let's see how far I can stretch the combo to. For now, let me regenerate my SP.
Okay. We found a good target to try out the combo on.
Dan [Long Branch Formosus]
Indeed, a Long Branch Formosus is a good target for these types of things. Do note that the next evolutions to the current species doesn't really change in name that much. A Branch that evolves into B-grade Inanimate is a Branch Formosus, and a Branch Formosus that evolves into A-grade Inanimate is Branch Forminosus.
Branch Forminosus, just like that branch I identified a few hours ago. I still don't want to fight that kind of enemy.
Okay, back to where we were.
How many [Wind Splinters] do I have in my storage? Taking a look, I see 5 of them. I have 12 SP so that means I can possibly reach a 6 hit combo made up of [Wind Splinters].
Guess we'll do that then.
'[Wind Splinter]! [Wind Splinter]! [Wind Splinter]! [Wind Splinter]! [Wind Splinter]!'
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Okay, my reserves are all out and it's time for the final shot.
Oh? That attack was somewhat louder compared to the previous ones. Did I do something wrong?
[Dan] has received 13 HP damage.
[Dan] has received 14 HP damage. 2 combo!
[Dan] has received 17 HP damage. 3 combo!
[Dan] has received 22 HP damage. 4 combo!
[Dan] has received 31 HP damage. 5 combo!
Critical! [Dan] has received 92 HP damage. 6 combo!
[Dan] has been slain.
Experience + 20.
Title: [Rapid Fire I] has been received.
What the...92 HP damage? Are you fucking serious? And to think I got a new title thanks to that? What the...I can't believe it.
Eh? OH! HERE IT COMES!
[Wind Splinter] has been upgraded to Level 3.
[Wind Splinter] has reached the MAX level.
[Wind Splinter] can evolve.
